They play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly \u2013 from guest arrivals to meal timings. John Fox works closely with these managers at every wedding. For example, allow enough time for preparations in the morning. This includes not only hair and makeup but also enjoying the company of your bridal party not to mention photos. If you need to travel to the ceremony allow additional time here. Then consider generous space for the ceremony, (travel to reception) a relaxed drinks reception and a calm transition into the wedding breakfast. then additional photography time before having another small breather before your evening guests arrive to commence the evening party. John gets many couples asking for advice on timings so feel free to ask.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1611\"><strong data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1609\">A Note on Light and Timing for photography<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1613\" data-end=\"1853\">If your wedding takes place early or later in the year, consider adding an extra half an hour between the ceremony and sitting to eat. This will give you additional time for your couple photos, as it may be dark after the wedding breakfast.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1855\" data-end=\"2368\">Do not forget the golden hour \u2013 that soft, flattering light in the hour before sunset. John suggests aiming to be fully dressed and ready around 45 minutes before you need to leave. This allows time for a few relaxed portraits of the bride, some lovely images with parents and bridesmaids, and avoids any sense of rushing. It is also a chance to breathe, take it all in and feel calm before everything begins.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2770\" data-end=\"2785\"><strong data-start=\"2770\" data-end=\"2783\">Important<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2787\" data-end=\"3111\">In the modern day it is no longer good to be fashionably late. Registrar&#8217;s have other weddings to attend and only have a small window of time to be with you. Churches have bell ringers and choirs that may need to get to other weddings at a different Church, not to mention the vicar. Being ready and on time ensures everything runs smoothly and helps avoid any last-minute stress. In addition to this being late only reduces the time for your photos as the chef will of already started food preparations for his time not a later time.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3113\" data-end=\"3131\"><strong data-start=\"3113\" data-end=\"3129\">Groom\u2019s tips<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3133\" data-end=\"3607\">If you are not getting ready at the venue, do not worry about putting your tie or cravat on until you arrive. It will help keep you cooler and more relaxed \u2013 and it allows the photographer to capture a few final touches of your preparations. On hot days, there is no need to wear your jacket until the last minute. One of the best tips when hiring or buying your suit is to get two shirts. Having a fresh one for the evening will keep you comfortable, smart and photo-ready.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3609\" data-end=\"3636\"><strong data-start=\"3609\" data-end=\"3634\">Winter wedding timing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3638\" data-end=\"4042\">A general tip \u2013 if you are marrying in the winter months, consider an earlier ceremony time.
