Lash tinting is a great way to make your lashes appear longer and thicker, so even without mascara you’ll have that stunning false lash effect.

At Maddalena’s, Cleckheaton, we use a form of dye that is particularly gentle on your fine lashes.  There’s a choice of natural shades including black, dark brown and light brown.  24 hours before the treatment we will conduct a patch test – this is an essential part of the treatment because it tests for allergies to the dye.  During the treatment, the therapist will protect the skin around your eyelashes using Vaseline and cotton pads as a barrier.  The dye is then painted onto the eyelashes while the eyes are closed and left for 5 to 10 minutes to sink into the lashes and colour them.  In total, the treatment takes around 20 minutes.  We recommend you have a lash tint treatment 24 hours before having Express Lashes applied.

The dye is long lasting, but it will only last as long as your eyelash growth cycle, so they will need re-tinting after around 4-6 weeks.  We ask that ladies come to us makeup-free so the dye can be applied smoothly and consistently.  We also advise that clients avoid sunbathing, oil-based eye makeup remover, saunas and contact lens use for 24 hours after their treatment, as this can have adverse effects and cause your lashes to prematurely fade.  To make the results better don’t wear mascara.
