Payment is required at the time of booking in the form of a deposit, no course will be confirmed without this. Deposits are non-refundable.

Full balance of the course is due no later than 14 days before the course date.

The cost of all courses are final and there is no hidden fees, please note that we reserve the right to amend course prices or run promotions at any time without prior notice.

All course fees are non-fundable and non-transferable.

Should you fail to attend a booked course with notification in writing this will result in a loss of booking and payments already made.

Full payment is due no less than 7 days prior to start date, if payment in full is not made at this point you will forfeit you place on the course.

Maddalena’s Academy will be unable to offer you any refund outside of our control i.e. adverse weather conditions, flooding, industrial action, terror attacks.

An alternative training date may be offered.

The academy is not responsible for any loss of income from accommodation and or travel cost that a student may incur because of a cancellation.

In the event of a genuine reason for cancellation (proof of which may be required) of a confirmed course booking notified prior to the date training is due to commence, a request for a transfer maybe considered at the discretion of Maddalena’s Beauty Academy and this will be subject to availability (Admin fees may apply)

Non-attendance when no notice is given will be handled at the discretion of Maddalena’s Academy and may result is loss of fees, this is applicable to full price courses.

Should you be unable to attend a confirmed course due to medical reason (proof of which may be required) a transfer to another date may be offered based on availability, the transfer fee may be waivered.

No refund of course fees will be issued.

Please contact a member of our admin team to discuss your reschedule request or non-attendance.

Booked training in non-transferable to an alternative student.  Please ensure that when the booking is made the correct information of the person attending the course is given at the time of payment, changes after this date will incur an admin fee.

Any amendments will incur an administration fee per course date and person.  Where possible for a change to be accommodated a minimum of 48 hours’ notice shall be given.

In the event that Maddalena’s Academy should have to cancel your course for reasons outside of our control then we will endeavour to give students at least 24 hour notice by phone and email.

The academy is not responsible for any charges a student may incur due to cancellation.

Please be aware that our courses are available both male and female and there is a possibility that your course could consist of mixed sexes.

Students are required to have a patch test done prior to any training at a cost to yourself however Maddalena’s Hair Salon will offer a free patch test for students only.

Photo ID is required on the day of the course and must be shown to the tutor without you may be turned away and risk a forfeit of the course and fees.

We regret that due to insurance purposes we can not accept anyone under the age of 16.

Our courses are available to any person over the age of 16.

Please note that some insurance companies will not insure those that are under the age of 18, it is the duty of the student to find suitable insurance.

Certificates will be issued when possible on the day of the course.

Certificates can be digitally emailed at a cost of an admin fee within 30 days of attending the course.

Replacement certificates will incur an admin fee.

All practical training must be completed within 6 months of booking the course unless otherwise agreed in writing at the time of booking.  Should you fail to attend your agreed training dates for any reason and the said course is no longer available or any changes have been made then no refund will be issued.

Maddalena’s Academy can not offer any refund, credit or substitute course in any circumstances.

You will receive confirmation of your booking 24-48 hours after full payment has been made.

Last minute course booking will require full payment at the time of booking.

If you require a receipt for your booking please request this at the time of booking.

All student must attend the full course in order to pass and achieve your certificate of completion.

Any late arrival may result in a refused entry and you will forfeit your course fees.

Please allow yourself sufficient time for travelling, if you require directions please contact a member of our team before that date of your course.

All students will need to bring their own cold lunch, drinks will be provided.

On the day of training you may be required to give or receive treatment, you may need to provide your own models, this will be discussed prior to your training date.

Photography and video is strictly prohibited during any training session, this is to protect the privacy of our students and trainers.  However trainers may from time to time take photos of students with certificates for our marketing material or advertising, permission from student will be sought.

Smoking is not permitted in the grounds of the academy.

Mobile phone use is prohibited during the course of the lessons and should be switched off.

Students are asked not to bring in any valuables with you to the academy as we will not be liable for any loss or damages.

We can offer students old and new refresher lessons available on a range of our courses.

All students are provided with a course manuals prior to the training date and it is a requirement that these are brought with you on the day of training.  Should you forget or need a replacement copy you could incur a small admin charge.

All of our courses are taught in English and you are required to have a good level of understanding both written or verbal.

Students who do not have English as a first language are advised to let us know at the time of booking as a one to one class may be more appropriate.

Students will be required to show evidence of any pre-requisites for any course that requires it.

Any tools provided on the day of training belong to Maddalena’s Academy and should not be taken, students may be held reliable for any loss or damages deliberately caused.

It is the students duty to inform Maddalena’s Academy of any medical condition or medication you are currently taking that could affect your training course.  This will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.

Adjustments will be made where and when possible, we can accommodate on a mobile basis if this is a more suitable option for anyone with a medical condition on a one to one course.  For insurance purposes a medical certificate may be requested.

Failure to disclose any medical requirement may result in a forfeit of you course and fees.

If you supply your own model for the course, it is then your duty to disclose any medical conditions allergies or requirements they may have.

If you have had any facial treatments such as fillers, surgery or any kind of semi-permanent tattoo, make-up or micro-blading within the last 12 weeks you will not be able to participate in certain treatments, failure to disclose this will result in a loss of course fees.

For students who are booked on to certain courses the following requirements are expected prior to training.

Eyelash Courses:  You will be required to remove any makeup and any false eyelashes.

Eye Brow Tint:  You will be required to have a patch test prior to the course, Maddalena’s offer free patch tests for students but this must be booked at the time of course booking.

Microdermabrasion:  You will be required to fill in a consent and medical form prior to attending course and return to the academy.

Acrylic Nails:  You are required before had at your own cost to remove any varnish, shellac and acrylic nails you may already have on.

For any students that require a starter kit, we recommend companies where after completion you can open a trade account with ongoing materials for your chosen career.

These are only a recommendation and you are under no obligation to use the wholesalers we provide.

We offer on-going support for all of our students.

Should you feel that you need a refresher course we can provide future training.  Costs will be discussed at time of booking.

For our learners to have the best practice we believe that good etiquette is foremost.

We require our students to arrive 15 minutes prior to any training time, this is to make sure that our registration is done before the start of the course and allows a smooth flow to the lesson.

Any students who are late may be removed for the course and this will result in a loss of course fees.  Lateness can cause disruption to classes and tutors.  Students who are late may miss essential information for the course.

Toilet and break times will be discussed at the start of the lesson this is to prevent any disruption during the training.

Any students who are late in returning from break times and disrupt or miss any essential information may result in loss of training and you could be asked to leave forfeiting any further training and fees.

Attendance to the full course is fundamental, no student will be passed off on any course if you miss any part of a training course.  Any genuine reason for non-attendance may be re booked but only at the discretion of Maddalena’s Beauty Academy.

Under no circumstance will a student be allowed to participate if the tutor feels the student is under the influence of drugs or alcohol and will be asked to leave, this will result in a loss of course fees.

Our tutors have a right to work in a safe and calm environment, if any student is aggressive towards any of our staff you will be asked to leave and police may be called, this will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Our staff are there to help and assist students and Maddalena’s Beauty Academy have selected our tutors who have the best experience and knowledge within the industry.

We expect all our students to be respectful and courteous of other learners and all staff of Maddalena’s Beauty Academy.
