7 year Anniversary shoot a round Fawsley Hall

This set of stunning images comes from a shoot taken last summer at the fabulous Fawsley Hall and surrounding countryside. I was contacted by the couple from Singapore asking for a shoot to help them celebrate seven years of marriage. They asked for rolling countryside, woodland and if possible long grass or corn fields. I could think of no better location than Fawsley Hall and near by Barby Woods. With the weather against us, a fine rain falling, we set off to the woodland. The canopy of the trees gave us shelter from the precipitation and I was able to create some lovely images from that area. While heading back to the second location a lake just past the hotel we stopped and walked into an adjacent field of barley. Now while many photographers like to use filters on their lenses or post production effects the image you see here is without any of these. I laid down in the tractor tyre tracks while positioning the couple some distance away. I used a 70 – 200mm F2.8 Canon lens and let the blades of barley naturally soften the image for me. The final part was to get the small gap between the couple just to add a little more passion to the finished composition.Beyond the hotel is a stunning lake and with views back the Fawsley Church. The wind was now quite strong and this gave some stunning movement into Natasha’s veil and wedding dress that she still had from the original wedding 7 years ago. A little off camera flash gave us this image from this area.And so back to the hotel and this final image from this great shoot was created just using natural light near the entrance to Fawsley Hall. I love working with natural light and the soft light of the day we had really enhanced this image letting the light fall on her while keeping him off the main light and creating a stunning soft image.What made this whole shoot even more special was knowing that the couple had selected a stunning GraphiStudio album to keep their celebration images in and I colour matched the box to her stunning blue dress.
