At The Farmhouse At Redcoats
Jenna and Daniel’s wedding at The Farmhouse at Redcoats in Hitchin Hertfordshire was a beautiful summer celebration. I was delighted to be their Wedding Photographer at The Farmhouse at Redcoats. Their day began with morning preparations before continuing through to the evening celebrations.
I had photographed their pre-wedding shoot at the venue only a few weeks earlier. As a result returning to The Farmhouse at Redcoats was lovely because the gardens had changed so much. The wild flowers had come into bloom and created an even more colourful backdrop for their wedding photographs.
Jenna and Daniel also booked John Fox Wedding Films to film their wedding day. In addition their wedding film captures the movement voices and atmosphere that still photographs cannot record. You can also watch the highlight reel from their wedding in the John Fox Wedding Films section of my website.
Together the photographs and wedding film preserve the story of their day. In particular still images capture individual moments while the film brings back the sounds voices and movement of the celebrations.

A Beautiful Wedding Venue In Hertfordshire
The Farmhouse at Redcoats combines the character of a traditional barn with beautifully maintained gardens and open countryside. As a result it offers a relaxed setting for couples. There are also plenty of opportunities for natural wedding photography throughout the day.
The summer sunshine brought the gardens to life. Because of this guests could enjoy the grounds before moving inside for the celebrations. Throughout the day everything flowed naturally from one moment to the next.

Getting Ready At The Farmhouse At Redcoats
Jenna spent the morning getting ready at the venue with those closest to her. Meanwhile Daniel arrived partly dressed before adding the finishing touches with his groomsmen.
Photographing both preparations helped tell the complete story of their morning. Soon afterwards everyone gathered for the ceremony.
After the ceremony guests made their way outside. At this point we photographed relaxed natural moments alongside the more formal family groups.

Summer Portraits Among The Wild Flowers
Following the group photographs we spent some time creating relaxed portraits around the gardens. The natural surroundings provided beautiful backgrounds. More importantly they allowed Jenna and Daniel to enjoy a few quiet moments together.
Later in the day everyone enjoyed a wonderful wedding breakfast followed by some fantastic speeches. Afterwards we headed to another part of the grounds where the wild flowers were in full bloom.
As a result we had the opportunity to create a selection of carefully crafted portraits. These images could work beautifully as pieces of wall art while still feeling natural and connected to the day.

A Perfect Ending To A Summer Wedding
As the evening arrived the celebrations continued with Jenna and Daniel’s first dance. Before long family and friends filled the dance floor.
Ultimately it was the perfect ending to a wonderful summer wedding. Capturing so many genuine memories for them both was a pleasure.
