A Day Across Two Counties
Wedding Photography for Emma and Lee in Leicestershire was a real joy to capture – a relaxed and heartfelt celebration that began in Northamptonshire and crossed into the rolling countryside of Leicestershire. As a wedding photographer covering Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, I often get to work in some of the most charming villages in both counties and this day was a perfect example of that.

The couple live in the village of Cottingham in Northamptonshire, just a few doors from St Mary Magdalene Church, where the ceremony took place. Emma walked to the church from home – a rare and lovely moment that added a personal and local feel to the start of the day. I began the morning with bridal preparations at their home where their dog Monte made a brief but memorable appearance before we all made our way to the church on foot.

After the ceremony, the celebrations continued over the border in Leicestershire at The Nevill Arms in Medbourne, a beautiful village near Market Harborough. With a stream running past the venue and through the village itself, Medbourne has a charm that feels almost Cotswold-like. Before the evening party began, we took a quiet moment for portraits by the water and around the village.

The day ended with relaxed evening celebrations and the first dance at the Nevill Arms – a warm and welcoming space that suited the tone of the day perfectly.
