The occasion was the wedding of Sally and Andrew in the picturesque village church in Tisbury and Ashley Wood Farm. The couple first met John at the National Wedding Show at the NEC, where they were instantly drawn to his relaxed, timeless style. After a chat and a browse through his wedding albums, they booked him there and then for their special day.
A Day of Charm in the Wiltshire Countryside
The day began with Sally and her bridal party getting ready at the gorgeous Ashley Wood Farm. Tucked away in the Nadder Valley, Ashley Wood Farm is a converted collection of rustic stone barns surrounded by rolling countryside and tranquil lakes. Its setting is as peaceful as it is breathtaking, making it a perfect spot for relaxed bridal preparations and some early photographs in the morning sunshine.
From there, the celebrations moved to St John the Baptist Church in Tisbury, a Grade I listed building with history dating back to the 12th century. Its striking medieval architecture and ancient yew trees offered a classic English countryside backdrop for the ceremony, filled with character and charm.
On the way back to the reception, there was time to stop at a couple of nearby spots to make the most of the early spring bluebells and a local beauty spot overlooking the Nadder Valley. These relaxed moments gave Sally and Andrew a chance to step away together and created some of the day’s most natural images, capturing Wiltshire at its best.
Following their vows and the location images, the newlyweds returned to their awaiting guests at Ashley Wood Farm, where one of the barns had been beautifully transformed for their wedding reception. With original wooden beams, flagstone floors, and views across the lake, it provided a warm and intimate space for dining, speeches, and dancing as the sun set over Wiltshire.
