At Maddalena’s, we’re the original and only salon to provide intimate waxing in the Cleckheaton area. Our salon is professional, warm and welcoming – perfect for nervous Brazilian wax virgins, as well as those who’ve had it done before. Our highly trained professionals are experts at making your Brazilian as long lasting and comfortable as possible. Salon owner Stacey Nelson is one of the most experienced beauticians in intimate waxing at Maddalena’s.
Stacey has tried and tested every wax on the market and Waxperts is the best by far. This is a salon only, professional brand and was recently voted Ireland’s number one. A Brazilian wax takes around 30 minutes and consists of removing hair from the front and back of the pubic area, leaving a perfect line of hair in the centre. This is done using either hot or warm wax, though we recommend hot because it’s more effective at removing shorter hairs and really gentle on sensitive skin. We also don’t ‘double dip’ our spatulas into the wax and have a very strict hygiene policy in our salon, as well as a waxing-only treatment room.
We use Waxperts’ Cleanser before the treatment, as well as Pre Wax Oil, which preps the skin for easy lifting. To finish, we use Waxperts After Wax Oil, which soothes skin and leaves it perfectly soft. We also provide all of our clients with the necessary aftercare information so they can keep their Brazilian smooth for longer.
24 hours before your treatment, a patch test will be conducted so we can check you’re not allergic to the wax. Some redness immediately after the treatment is perfectly normal and we ask our clients not to exfoliate the area for 3 days. Clients should also avoid sunbeds, sunbathing, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours after their treatment. We also recommend you don’t shave between waxes either, as it can make hairs grow back coarser and thicker. Hair regrowth won’t occur for 2-3 weeks and continued treatments will ensure hairs grow back finer and weaker.
