Quick, discreet and oh so effective, the bikini wax is an intimate grooming classic and ensures no stray hairs will lurk where they’re not wanted.  At Maddalena’s, Cleckheaton, we’ve been keeping the ladies of West Yorkshire perfectly groomed for over ten years.  Salon owner Stacey Nelson is one of the most experienced waxing beauticians at Maddalena’s.  Hers is the only intimate waxing salon in the town centre of Cleckheaton.

The bikini wax is fast and simple, takes only 20 minutes.  It involves removing the hair from the crease of the thighs and where the hair will show outside the bikini or knicker line, both at the top and at the sides.  Our waxes are done with either hot or warm wax, but we recommend hot wax because it’s gentle on sensitive skin and removes even the finest of hairs.

24 hours before your treatment, a patch test will be conducted so we can check you’re not allergic to the wax.  We use only Waxperts Wax at Maddalena’s, which was recently voted the number one professional salon waxing brand in Ireland.  Our salon has a strict hygiene policy that all of our therapists adhere closely to, which means we have a waxing only treatment room.  We never ‘double dip’ our spatulas and ensure that every wax is sterile and safe.  After your wax you won’t see a stray hair in the bikini area for 2-3 weeks and regrowth will be significantly more comfortable than it is after shaving.  The hair will also be finer and weaker after continued treatment.

Some redness immediately after the treatment is perfectly normal.  We minimise the possibility of ingrown hairs by prepping and soothing the area with Waxperts’ Cleanse, Pre-Wax Oil and After Wax Oil.  We ask our clients to avoid sun beds, sunbathing and exfoliation for 24 hours after their treatment and not to shave between waxes.
